Data Security

Planner-Assist takes data security very seriously. We have taken steps to protect all client data.

We comply with all the requirements of an Information Security Management System (ISO/IEC 27001:2013) and are certified after being assessed by the recognised Certification body.

What is it?

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is the global standard for effective information management. It helps organisations protect their critical information assets and comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements to avoid potentially costly security breaches.

The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard is designed to cover more than just IT security.

It is a powerful tool for organisations and includes:

  • Systematic examination of the organisation’s information security risks, taking account of the threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts.
  • Designing and implementing a coherent and comprehensive suite of information security controls and/or other forms of risk treatment (such as risk avoidance or risk transfer) to address those risks that are deemed unacceptable.
  • Adopting an overarching management process to ensure that the information security controls continue to meet the organisation’s security needs on an ongoing basis.

Why we got certified

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification takes a lot of hard work (and money), however, as technology is developed and improves, information security becomes more and more vital. It is one of the most widely used and internationally recognised standards and now required by some financial planning licensees for external outsourcing paraplanners.

The benefits are abundant and will help us avoid data security threats, which is especially important in today’s world of working online.

What it means to you

Being an ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certified Organisation shows how we work with your client data according to recognised information security best practices and proves our credibility. It keeps us at the forefront of the Paraplanning industry, backs up our professionalism and longstanding good reputation.

You can always rely on Planner-Assist.
